A message from our President

Hello neighbours and friends,

As we look back on the past year most of us can say that 2020 has been a year of extremes! For me, the loss of my father was balanced with the birth of my first grandchild. I’m sure each of us have experienced some highs and lows this past year. Never did we expect to be living in a global pandemic but here we are. The challenges have been many and for some, they have been almost insurmountable.

Our association reached out to the community in support of the Ottawa Food Bank and our efforts were grand – together we raised $3,630! That’s what a community does, we help one another. If you need help, contact our association, we’ll do our very best to assist you in any way we can.

Our association has been working on several important issues and initiatives this past year like our incorporation which I’m happy to say, is now finalized. Thank you to the board of directors for their hard work and also to Kathleen Jin and her team at Kathleen Jin Law. Their expertise and assistance was invaluable.

In 2021 the WVCA will continue to work  hard to represent our community on issues that matter to us. We are encouraging you to join your neighbors and become a member. It’s a great way to feel connected to your community and our association has some good things planned for 2021. Contact us at membership@wateridgeassociation.ca.

On behalf of the Wateridge Village Community Association, we would like to wish each of you the healthiest and happiest year ever!
Stay safe, stay healthy!
