Meet the Board

President of the Board – Roxanne Field

I’m semi retired from the interior design/project management industry. After selling my design practice in 2017, I relocated to the beautiful Wateridge Village community where I live with my husband, Graham and pup, Sasha. I enjoy painting, golfing and curling and walking with Sasha in our neighbourhood!

Vice President of the Board / Membership Lead – Daphne Jaques

I am a recent resident of Ottawa, having moved to Wateridge in 2018 after spending 30 years in Burlington, Ontario. I pride myself on being a team player with a talent for building relationships with members of my community and look forward to continuing in my new community as we grow and develop.

Secretary of the Board – Alasdair Stuart-Bell

I am a father of two great children, happy partner of a wonderful woman, a small business owner, a 40+ year resident of the area, and an active volunteer. While my profession revolves around engaging people in discussions to better understand their needs, I hope that this skill will also be useful for our community. I look forward to working with other residents to ensure that Wateridge Village remains a fantastic place to live as the community evolves and grows.

Treasurer of the Board – Zul Nanji

I have been a resident of Ottawa for over 35 years and recently retired from the Federal Government. I have been involved in the various community initiatives and am happy to do some volunteer work for the Wateridge Village Community Association.

Communications Lead – Vita Sgardello

A proud resident of Wateridge Village, I bring my experience in communications to the Wateridge Village Community  Association. By day I work for a local environmental organization, and in the past have worked as a community manager, journalist and copywriter. I am passionate about the outdoors, a terrible but adamant birdwatcher, and look forward to seeing our little community flourish and thrive.

Planning & Development Lead [interim] – Jane Thompson

I established an architectural firm in 1991 and have led projects in the Ottawa area since 1995.  My interests include environmental design and research, energy efficiency, creating new buildings, additions or renovations that belong in their settings and exploring the potential of living well in small spaces.
